Metro UI tiles frozen in time, all show offline.

Seems to be a fairly common problem. The metro tiles will not update; the netflix tile will not load. They all show that they are offline when the internet clearly works on the desktop. Anyone have a solution short of a reinstall?

Restart your PC whilst holding down Shift Key. Choose troubleshoot then Advanced and Startup Settings. Restart.
Choose Safe Mode (4) from menu.
Go to Start Screen and Rt Click your Account (Top Right)
Choose 'Change your Account Picture'
Choose 'Lock Screen'
Where it says 'Choose an App to display detailed Status' select Weather.
Return to Start Screen and Restart in Normal Mode.
If it persists, it may be because the PC is not recovering properly from Sleep Mode, in which case disable Sleep in Power options.
