What's the best method besides finding magic / unique find to increase
the percentage of finding uniques / magic stuff.

More details:

Play in games with more than one person. This increases the number of items
that drop, but not the quality of the drop...but of course, the more items
that drop, the greater the percentage that a given multi-item drop will
contain a unique or set goes up.

Poor man's MF setup includes a 4-socket armor with Perfect Topazes in the
sockets, and a 3-socket helm with PTopaz. With just a little more, you can
get above 200% mf, then collect and trade up to better stuff. Rinse and
repeat.

Learn which items have inherent value apart from their mods. For example,
elite light armors with sockets and ethereal elite weapons can be traded for
a decent value. You can have 0 mf in hell and find some stuff that has
trade value.

Other method would be probably do a lot of MF runs, hence you increase the
chance of finding magic/unique items.

Therfore less runs=less magic/unique
more runs=more chance of magic/unique items..

It only increases the Probablity!!!!!

Another secret is that your merc gets your MF as a base for his/her MF,
so if you & your merc both have 4 PTopaz armor & 3 PTopaz helms, your
merc's kills are boosted double.

While having your merc do the killing is tedious, it is the best MF
possible. You load up with MF and stay out of danger, he's got MF and
you re-raise him as necessary.

And to expand on that it only matters who gets the killing blow, your char
can get the monster down to a sliver of life, and if the merc gets that last
hit that kills, the game uses the merc+your mf
