MG279Q only have 120hz not 144hz option

Hello,

I have recently bought a Mg279Q monitor, however when I hooked it up my nvidia control panel only shows 120hz not 144hz. I have installed the mg279's driver, and updated nvidias drivers but still no options.

I have connected the monitor via the supplied displayport cable to my gtx 760, with the mini-dp connected on the monitor and the full sized dp on my gpu.



Can anyone please help me, i have seached the web but to no avail

after few more hours of research Ive found out that gtx760 only supports 1440p at 120hz max....

il leave this answer for future reference should anyone else be as stupid as me

Can you show me the link on how you found this out? My GTX 660 can't do 144hz at 1080p even. Just 120 tops
