Hello. I currently am using an fx-8120 CPU and an msi R9 380 4gb GPU. In the wilderness I get 60 FPS on all high exept for textures which is at extra high. However when I go to motherbase or look at a town it goes to around 40. That makes it worse then a PS4... Could really use some help, my one theory is that its my processor. But the R9 380 i feel like it should be better than that... (This is on Metal Gear Solid 5 by the way) Thanks!

Yes you are right it is your cpu at fault your Fx-8120 is based on the Steamroller silicone architecture.
And compared to the FX cpu`s with a Vishera based silicone architecture.

The FX steamroller has about 35% less processing power than a FX cpu core based on the AMD vishera cpu core.
It is bottle necking your R9 380 card without doubt.

If you replaced the cpu with a FX 4300 quad core you will see a decent difference, 8320 will be much better.

Thanks man! Sadly I wont be buying an Intel motherboard and an Intel CPU any time time soon (Due to the fact i cant have a job because of my age) But I can purchase an FX-8320 soon and I will probably OC that as well, That should probably get me solid 60!
