In today's Grand Rapids Press, VZW has a full page add that says "Take More
Minutes to More Places Across Michigan". The add then goes on to say 1000
anytime minutes and nationwide long distance. $39.99 a month. But when I
look at the website, I don't see this offering anywhere. Anyone else in
Michigan see this or know if this is something we can sign up for?

My buddy has a regional plan in PA and his contract comes up next month. He
showed me where he was offered the same $39.95/1000 anytime minutes with a
$10 adder for "INnetwork". You might want to call CS and ask. I suspect it
is a response to Tmobiles' heavily advertised $39.95/1000 anytime minutes
plan.

I think it's a bunch (not just MI) local only plans, with no long distance
included.

So if it's a local plan, what does it mean by "more minutes to MORE PLACES
across Michigan"? Did they increase their coverage on the local plans too???

Some local plans include non-Verizon areas as part of the "home area" and
I'll bet this is the case for Michigan, since Alltel and RFB cover most of
the parts of MI that Verizon doesn't, and that actually works out to be a
large chunk of MI...

Indeed - MI local digichoice now has the same coverage as america's
choice within the state on the latest prl - i can confirm it since i
have phones on both plans and have used it. roaming is through
rfb/alltel in the lower peninsula. by the way, that plan, while a good
deal, is nothing new. i have a ldc phone on it from dec 2002
