Question Mic is too quiet even with all levels maxed

I have an AT2040 using a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd gen. My gain knob is almost all the way to the right with windows mic volume maxed as well as discord input volume maxed. My friends have me at 200% volume and they still complain that I'm too quiet. Am i doing something wrong or do I really have to be kissing my mic the entire time for it to barely work?

Mic sucks. Many people have had similar problems.

I'm sure you've looked around already, but check the couple of suggestions at the following Reddit link which WILL require that you "expand" the conversation to see all of them relevant to the main thread. One of them MIGHT be helpful, but I think mostly this is an inbuilt gain problem with the device or an incompatibility with the onboard DAC if you are using one. Either way, you are not "alone" with having problems.
