Mic Jack not working on front audio panel

So I recently built a pc and I just realized that the front mic port doesn't work even though the headphone jack does. For some reason it doesn't want to work on the front but works perfectly on the back audio ports.
Case: Haf X
Motherboard: Gigabyte G1 gaming GA-Z170X Gaming 7
Headphones: Logitech G230

check your front panel cables on the mobo, see if they're lose
try plugging it in half way

Actually I just figured it out it had to do with the drivers not installing correctly thanks anyway
