Hi guys, I'm new to all this and still struggling with the basics. I am making a film project using a Sony a6400 and a gimbal Zhiyun Weebill S. The project mostly requires following one person around so I need the mic on the camera. However, my cheap Takstar SGC-598 picks up gimbal's vibrations (although the mic itself doesn't seem to be vibrating) which results in a pretty uncomfortable background noise - I am filming indoors in a pretty quiet environment. Would a more expensive mic with a better shock-absorbing mount fix this problem or it is a general problem when working with a gimbal? (the mic actually makes noise even when it is held in hand)
If I need a new mic, I was looking at something like Rode Videomic with Rycote mount (the Pro version is a bit out of my reach).
