Mic not connecting to programs after windows update

Hello forum users, hope i could get some help with this problem.

So last night, i got a notification for a windows update. I went through with the update and the next day computer is still working fine. But earlier today when i go to use my mic it does not work on discord. i try to use an online mic tester but the line didnt show up. When i go to manage audio devices listening to the device works and the green bars light up when i talk. I tried a lot of solutions when i looked the problem up including uninstalling and reinstalling the realtek audio device, restarting my pc, and trying a different headset. I am lost on what to do and hope somebody knows a solution

That's my only suggestion, either that or reinstalling the driver which you've already tried.
