Mic not working

It all started with a buzzing problem it was very low so it wasn't a big deal then i opened audacity for some reason i recorded and find out my voice wasn't recording and all you could hear was a buzzing sound PLEASE HELP i can't talk with my friends

Is there a loose connection eg cable from your microphone? Have you checked that all your connections are secure - take them out and reseat.
