Mic not working

My headset mic Astro A50 will not work on my new built pc, the headphones work but everytime i talk it works for a few seconds then stops please help.

i have but when i open it it says mic not connecting or something like that then shuts off.

no i didn't i dont have another but if i try on my old pc it works

Okay. If that is the case, then the port you are plugging it is faulty. Try a different port.

i have tried all ports, and the sound works and the mic sometimes works it just gets stuck.

If you have and it still doesn't work, the only solution I could think of would be to:

1. Try watching their setup videos on how to setup your headset and such or try contacting them to see if they can fix your problem: http://www.astrogaming.com/support-landing.html

2. Last resort: Contact your MOBO manufacturer about your situation, they maybe able to help as well.

Are you using a USB connection or the digital audio connection? If you're using the digital one, check the cord for kinks or dents. Digital audio uses fiber-optic technology, and even the slightest damage to the cord can screw it up completely.

Don't jump to conclusions that all of his USB ports are damaged as he told us that none of his ports worked. I've asked him if his ports were faulty or damaged, he stated that he tried the other ports and had the same results. There could be possibilities where he hasn't installed all the drivers yet.
