Mic on Front Panel Doesn't Work

I have a NZXT Phantom 410 case on my new build and on the front panel the usb ports and the headphone jack work fine, but my computer fails to recognize the mic jack when i plug my headset in. I know i can just use the mic jack on my motherboard, but it's really inconvenient and would be much better to access on the front panel.

Download your mobo's manual, there should be some info about how to setup front panel. Also you could check inside your case maybe the wires are setup wrong.
