So my headset mic was working just fine a week ago. I turned off my PC, turned it on the next day, called a friend on Skype and my mic wasn't working. Everything was fine in control panel/sound, everything was fine in the driver department too. I dedicated this whole week to finding a solution for this problem. I bet I tried everything there is to audio settings on my PC.
I'm on windows 10 and me and my friend suspect the windows to be at fault.
Mic works on any other device but my PC.
I have a headset: Logitech G430. It has this adapter:
I've tried using my headset with and without the adapter, plugging my jacks into the back of my PC.
If I go to an online mic test and listen to music with my headphones, the mic test detects the music and any other system sounds, Skype sounds too(friend talking and stuff).Doesn't actually pick up anything from my room or anything else outside the system for that matter.
If I plug my mic into the back jack my friend can hear some static, silent static. I can hear it too if I turn my playback on.
Stereo mix is disabled.
Headset microphone is the default device, doesn't let applications take exclusive control its not muted.Mic output is the same as system audio output.
Reinstalled Realtek audio drivers, nothing.
Thank you for all the help that i can get!
