I didn't mess with any settings or do anything. Just all of the sudden it happened. It has happened before and disappeared. I don't know how. It's lasting longer this time and it's bothering me. The problem only occurs when I do voice overs in any video editor. I use Adobe Premiere and Filmora. I've tried others the problem persists. If I record my voice in any audio app such as audacity, there's no crackling or popping at all

I've got Mb Asus asus p5b-e and integrated audio SoundMAX AD1988.

Solution
Since device's operate in tandem with the OS, you need to make sure your device drivers are in order. The above posts seems like you're either :
a| the sound card is giving out due to age.
b| the drivers may have been tampered or corrupted.

1| Can you please state your full systems secs inclusive of your OS? Pretty much all the BIOS available here are BETA so you're a bit out of luck when it comes to compatibility.
2| Have you made sure your BIOS is up to date?
3| Please include your audio equipment as well.
