So i woke up this morning and I noticed my gaming mouse is wet, but everything else is completely dry.. it's the Razer ouroboros.

It was on charge over night. & I live alone..

What caused this? Could it have something to do with it charging over night? (Can't remember the word for drops forming on stuff)

Also - it's about 10°c in my room at night.

Any info would be really helpful, because this is the first time i ever experience something like this..

How wet are we talking about? Dripping wet, or just slightly damp? Were any other surfaces aside from the mouse wet, and was the air especially humid or foggy or anything? 10C does seem kind of cool for a room temperature.

If it were covering the outer surface, it could potentially be condensation. Condensation will generally occur on cool surfaces though, while I would expect a charging mouse to be warmer than other objects in the room, if anything. Maybe the rubberized surface might make it more prone to collecting water droplets from humid air though.

Also, make sure there isn't some kind of leak coming from the ceiling though.

Another possibility, depending on where the moisture was located, might be that the battery inside...

Another possibility, depending on where the moisture was located, might be that the battery inside could be leaking. Rechargeable NiMH batteries can potentially leak electrolyte if their temperature gets too high while charging. Also, make sure there isn't a non-rechargeable alkaline battery inside. I believe the Ouroboros uses a standard AA-sized NiMH cell, and can apparently work with a regular alkaline battery in a pinch, but you probably wouldn't want to charge it with one inside. Even if you know it's a rechargeable inside, I would open the battery compartment and make sure the battery isn't leaking though.

Thanks a lot for this info! I contacted razer support and they told me this as well. However I can't get a new one, because i bought it while i was abroad. It's unfortunate they don't have a place in south africa to have a look at it.

The click is squeuky and the right-side's buttons no longer work.
