mice & keyboard not working

Hi every body, please help......
my lappy's touchpad and keyboard is not working and asking to select boot device. pls suggest what to do???

Try an external mouse and keyboard. Did all those 3 things happen at the same time? Your motherboard or BIOS could be bad. Was the computer dropped or anything? You can try to reset the BIOS to defaults, either open the case and remove the CMOS battery for 10 seconds or read the manual to see how to do it. Often it's just removing the main battery and then holding in the power button for 30 seconds or something similar.
