I am in the process of selecting parts for my upcoming microATX build. I have designed it around the idea of compute performance for various scientific and engineering simulations. I need help with some of the parts.

My current parts list:
i7-4970k
CPU cooler is still in the air depending on case
16 gb of DDR3 ram
Case is still up in the air(please help)
either 2 Titan Blacks or Radeon Fury Xs depending on the fury's double precision performance
2tb hhd
128gb ssd
Some microatx motherboard that can support this
850 watt psu

I know that was extremely generic but I am only certain on the processor and the graphics cards. I can find good Ram/PSU/Storage/Mobo/CPU cooler. I seriously need help with a case. I hope to keep this build fairly portable as I am going to be using it at college and potentially carting it to labs on a semi frequent basis. I am worried about cooling the GPUs in a microatx case but, like I said, I need the portability.

Quite Frankly, if your college doesn't have some decently powerful computers for you to use in your research you should go to a better college. However if this is more because you want to go above and beyond such they they deem you worth of time on their very expensive machines I understand. (that is how a few of my mates got 1000's of CPU hours out of the faculty). As for cases, http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25_1532&products_id=30680 with it's carry handles would make a lot of sense. If you end up needing a lot of extra HDD's for storage in the computer I'd suggest the http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25_1532&products_id=27898 with it's 8 HDD's and 2 SSD mounts. If a Cube is a no go the http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25_1532&products_id=29084 is a great mATX tower.

As for CPU cooling, as you will be moving the PC around a lot a AIO water cooler would be best, this will keep weight of the CPU socket and attach this weight primarily to the case. It also moves the heat made by the CPU away from the GPU's more as it will be exhausting right out of the case.
