Hi! I'd like to know if there's a good micro atx motherboard for around 120 dollars that is compatible with an fx 8320 or 8350. I like msi boards with the oc genie feature :)

There are no mATX motherboards with good new chipsets (like 990FX)

and if you are building a new system , forget AMD , they don't have PCI Express 3.0 yet.

go for intel .

I'm going with intel. I5 3570k, micro atx asrock, gtx 660 ti, Samsung ssd 250 gb, corsair 8gb ram, corsair 500 w psu,. I'm very excited for rome total war 2

go for haswell ... don't pick ivy bridge man...

new Z87 motherboards are waaay better.

tell me your budget.

I've already got my case and monitor keyboard and mouse and Bose sound system so I'm looking to spend another 800-900 dollars on my actual system. I have a micro atx case so the mobo has to be 9.6x9.6. I think I'll follow sna and go with the haswell i5 4670k. Any other tips? This is my most costly build so I want to do it right :)

Get this motherboard

Gigabyte Sniper M5

and read about it here

OR the Asus Gene VI

read about it here

I prefer Gigabyte over Asus in general. both mobos are cool

Edit : for the SSD get the Samsung 840 pro , be sure it is the "pro" . it is the best around.

for GPU get GTX770 or GTX 760 , and avoid AMD.

PhysX is a must.

Ok I'm going with the sniper mobo, i5 haswell k, Samsung pro ssd, gtx 760, and the h50 water cooler corsair. One question: will my psu corsair 500 w be ok with all this?

IF you plan to add another GTX 760 in the future in SLI , Pick a 650 Watt PSU.

and choose a modular powersupply GOLD. best from seasonic , silverstonetek , pcpower and cooling .

avoid h50 cooler

the nzxt X40 kraken is better but it needs 140 fan space

what is your case ?
