micro atx vs atx

i have an atx case and my current mobo is asrock 939 dualvsta atx. i am looking at another mobo with is micro atx will the new mobo fit in my atx case.

You would have to look online to the specifications of your case and see if ATX as well as Micro atx MB are supported.

Yes it will fit. You may need to use some other mounting holes but it will fit. I have never seen an ATX case that would not accept a micro-ATX board.

thanx i just needed to make sure the board would fit. it is a mid tower case will a micro fit in that? i don't want to drill new mounting holes

Never seen a problem. Truth is that you don't have to line up every hole on the new board. I just remove the standoffs that don't line up, or cover with a non conductive material.

It will work. Think of a microATX as an ATX board with the bottom 3" or so cut off.
