Question Micro frame drops and stuttering on high end PC

Hello everyone

I recently bought a prebuilt PC:

Gigabyte 4070ti 12gb
i9 13900k
32gb ram 5600MHz
2tb SSD NMVe
Z790 Gamimg AX MoBo

I find that while playing some games, for this example I´ll use Far Cry 6 with HD texture pack, ultra setting in 1440p. I enjoy an average of 125fps, but I do notice drops to 90 or even 60, and not only by eye, but I see them in the FPS counter. It is not a big deal or game breaker but I can literaly notice the minif-freeze, I would like to know if it is normal.

Also, monitoring is OK:
9/12gb Vram 62 celcius
15/32gb ram 57 celcius
99% gpu usage
60% cpu usage
No SSD spikes

The only thing I notice is that my Video Card has 3 fans, only the first and third spin, the middle one never spins, not even with after burner. But the temperatures are ok, so I guess that is not the problem?

You forgot to mention the make and model of your PSU.

You could try and;
1| See if your motherboard is pending any BIOS updates
2| See if your OS is pending any updates
3| Use DDU to remove all GPU drivers then manually reinstall with the latest GPU driver sourced from Nvidia's support site, in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

PSU is 850W Gold

It is the Eagle OC 12gb rev 2.0
Need to check bios update
OS is up to date
OS was new so I used GeForce Experience to install latest driver, but will also do the DDU and check back!
Just not sure about that frozen GPU fan

Solved, did 1, 2 and 3 and it is now solved and the GPU has its 3 fans running Thanks!
