wasnt looking at that specifically, just more for the size i was looking for. i want something small but better than a laptop

Some systems did have the SFF laptop style DVD drives back in the day but I haven't seen them in a while. Things have moved on to USB.
As @logainofhades says, externals are cheap and easy.

Truly small cases will only have the ability to run integrated graphics.
Discrete graphics card of any good performance are not going to fit in a small case.
Lian li used to make a PC-Q08 case which is reasonably small and can handle a dual slot graphics card.

There are plenty of small cases, can take a full sized GPU. The CM 110 is pretty small.

I'm security on a fairly quiet site, i want something i can play games on without a stupidly expensive laptop. It would need to be small enough to leave in a locker, as im not humping it to & fro daily to work & home

Note that most of them require slim optical drives and I think almost all of the slim optical drive supported cases only support slot loading drives.

Honestly, I'd say an external optical drive is better here.

There is something new from ASRock . It is called the " Deskmini Max ". Small case with optical drive and space for a GPU . I have read an article about it, but it is in german. It is rather a prebuilt, than just a case.
