Question Micro SD card inaccessable

I have what, for the moment, I would like to refer to as a faulty micro SD card. When I insert it in an adapter card which I subsequently insert in my computer, no window pops up.
The micro SD card reader is not faulty, because it appears in device manager.
Also, I tried with another micro SD card, successfully so.
When I try to insert it in my smartphone, it asks me to format because my device can't use it. But of course, once formatted... bye bye data.

Any idea?

so neither the pc or phone can read the card?
try another pc. or the card might have failed
