So I've been having a bit of a headache trying to make this Micro SD card work. It's a 32GB Kingston card which I'm using on my phone. The phone recognizes it as a 32GB card, so no problem there.

It also worked perfectly at first. That is, until I put over 8gb of files total in it. I'm using it for music, and once I go over about (I'm not exactly sure what the limit really is) 8GB of music in it, the music files get recognized by the phone, but when I try to play them, the phone won't let me, saying there's a problem with the file.

I've tried it on two phones, a Nokia 500 and a Lumia 640, both of which should be able to support 32GB cards without any problems. I've also tried formatting it from the phone, but with no results.

To make matters worse, my computer doesn't seem to recognize the cards when I connect it through an SD card adapter (I've tried two, actually). It just doesn't show up at all, not even on Disk Management. I've been putting the files by connecting the phone to the PC. When I do that, I can access the card, but only as a sub-folder inside the phone, and it won't let me format it.

So in short, I don't know what to do. The thing actually works when I keep it under 8gb. Even after going over that amount, the old files will work, it's only the new ones that become corrupted.

Any ideas?

Forgot to add, I've also tried a 16GB Kingston card that's having exactly the same problems. Two cards, on two phones, with two adapters.

Solution
Might be something wrong with it, it should show up in disk management even if it was in wrong format. It should show as RAW or unknown or even with no partition defined but should be there.
