Micro Stutter help in WoW

Hi,
So I'm running the rig in my sig and I've got WoW running at 1080p on Ultra. I don't have anything overclocked beyond factory settings and I've actually had to de-clock the video card a hair to stablize it. I'm staying between 60-90 fps but the micro stutter is bad to the point it's actually annoying. I've downloaded Radeon Pro but I'll be honest, it made no sense to me. Can anyone explain to me how to set it up to smooth out WoW or give me any other suggetions?

Turn on V-Sync, that should remove the suttering

yeah but jack thats the 7800 and 7900 issue not the 5000 series.

Iceclock - Alright, I'll give new drivers a shot first.

yamahahornist - If new drivers doesn't work I'll try V-sync but V-sync just kills my FPS. I went with a 120mhz monitor to avoid it if possible.

JackNaylorPE - It does look a lot like frame latency but as Iceclock pointed out, I'm not sure that's the issue with a 5xxx series card.

Ok, quick update:
I did a full driver wipe and installed Catalyst 13.1. That didn't seem to change the jerkiness of the image when moving.

I set the v-sync in WoW to 120 and that didn't help. I set it to 100 and I noticed a difference. I then set it to 60 and the problem was pretty much gone.

That unfortunately leaves me with another question. If setting v-sync to 60 solves the jerky scrolling background issue, was the issue with the video card or with the monitor not displaying 120mhz refresh rate properly? I had a minimal issue with screen tearing through all of this so I assume that means its a video card issue.

On the plus side, v-sync doesn't seem to have the negative impact it did before. I'm now staying right at the 60 limit for the most part.

most lcd monitors work at 60fps. anything over will cause screen tearing.

Agreed, but my monitor is an Acer GD235hz 120hz and screen tearing hasn't really been the issue, it's the stuttering/jerky background movement as I walk/fly past stuff. That would probably be the video card than right?

yes, also, i would recommand uninstalling ur drivers. than using driversweeper. than rebooting and installing latest cataclyst drivers.

also defragmenting ur wow folder with defraggler.

also scandisk ur hd and check fix errors, also defragment it unless its an ssd than nvm.
