Hello everyone!
As I wrote in the Title, I am experiencing stutters every ~0.5 seconds. the duration of the stutter is very little but still noticeable. It's always stuttering, even if no program is open.
I have my own program that tracks FPS and it's not just a display issue, the FPS are actually going wild for just a split second when its stuttering while staying precisely at 60 FPS in between the stutters.
------Solution------
Triple buffering needs to be activated but its not enough to do it in the NVIDIA control Panel.
You need to activate it for DirectX applications as well.
I did it with the tool D3DOverrider->global->Force triple buffering.
----------------------
OS: Windows 10
Mainboard: Asrock Z170 PRO4S
CPU: Intel I5 6600K
GPU: Palit GeForce GTX 1060 Dual 6 GB
RAM: Ballistix Sport 8GB Kit (2x4GB) DDR4 SODIMM
Drive1: Crucial CT250BX100SSD1 SSD
Drive2: Samsung HDD
PSU: Corsair 650W
Things i tried (all without success obviously):
- There are no Programs enabled for Startup. There are however a lot of processes and services running (as expected i guess).
- I tried to disable/change a few settings in the NVIDIA control panel including the infamous V-Sync.
- I disabled my second Drive via device manager.
- Neither CPU nor GPU are overheated
- Neither CPU nor GPU are under (heavy) load.
- i disabled my Network connection
- i disabled Windows 10 privacy settings with Ultimate Windows Tweaker 4.2.2.
- I made a clean install of the NVIDIA driver using DDU.
- I checked DPC Latency and the maximum Latency was 1ms.
- I set the internal Windows timer to it's minimum (0.5ms).
After trying a while i gave up and when i did a random check IT WORKED WITHOUT STUTTERS. I even restarted my PC because i couldn't believe it. It worked after the restart BUT after around half an hour the STUTTERING STARTED AGAIN.
I tried a lot but i cannot solve the issue. Help would be very appreciated!
Thanks guys and gals!
