OK, I keep getting micro-stuttering in all games.

Here is a screensot of my system:
system info

Problem: Stuttering in all games, trying to find bottleneck.

Seems to happen in FPS and MMO games, for example:
  • MW 2
  • Battlefield 2042
  • CS:GO

Use GPU-Z and start a temp scan, let it run while you play games, let the issues happen for a few minutes and then go back and look at the temp logs. See if anything correlates. Might also run some benchmarking and see if it happens there. What kind of monitor are you using?

Those aren't terrible temps for gaming actually.

Have you tried cleaning out all the drivers (new and old) and reinstalling the latest versions?

Might also take a look at a similar issue:

I did a reinstall of windows 11 and am still having the problem. now I am having a disconnect error in MW 2. I am wondering if it's a network issue is there anything I can run to check network? But I am at a loss to know what is going on. I am still having the frame drops especially on loading screens when loading maps. Here are

specs.
Processor: AMD Rysen 9
GPU: Nivida GeForce 3080
Memory: 32 gigs
Operating system: wins 11

A few things I've noticed looking through the thread:

Your DRAM is running at ~2400 which certainly isn't going to be helping anything performance wise.

You didn't specify if this happens at all with offline games or if it happened when you ran 3dmark.

In your 3dmark run the CPU clockspeed was moving around a lot. I haven't looked at many AMD clock graphs with 3dmark, but Intel CPUs clocks are stable throughout the test. I don't think this is necessarily the problem, but it might be sign of something BIOS settings wise being off.

Before doing anything else I'd suggest running LatencyMon just to see if it picks up on anything in particular. Also what does the storage situation look like (meaning do you have plenty of free space on any SSDs, are games install on HDD etc)?

If nothing major crops up with any of the above and storage is good I'd suggest resetting BIOS to defaults and then enabling XMP/EXPO for the memory then checking again.

Does CPU-Z still show ~1200mhz then?

Most modern BIOS show the memory clocks in a summary portion of the main screen. It should show either 3600 or 1800 here if XMP is properly enabled.

What motherboard do you have? Also what is the SSD you're using?

I'm not sure why I didn't notice it before, but running 4x 8GB can potentially be problematic if it wasn't a quad kit. It's also a lot harder to get proper memory clockspeeds with 4 modules.

Yes it still shows 1200
B550 gaming v 2
Samsung 1 tb
What should I do about the memory?
Do I need to replace if so what do you recommend

I have a amd Ryzen 9
Ge force rtx 3080
Ssd
Hhd
Acer monitor at 144htz

If you put your BIOS in advanced mode on the right side it should have hardware information which includes DRAM speed.

You could always try a matched pair of your existing DRAM in DDR4_A2/DDR4_B2 slots just to see if anything changes. If the DRAM won't run the rated speed, or the current one isn't a matched kit and you want 32GB you should just buy a 2x 16GB kit of 3600 CL16.

The SSD is SATA or NVMe? If the latter is it plugged into the M2A_CPU slot on the motherboard (top M.2 slot)?

I did a quick run of LatencyMon while loading up a game/playing a bit and yours doesn't really seem all that bad so long as that's happening during graphics initialization (the high execution time on the vid drivers).

Do you notice any sort of issues when using the PC for anything other than gaming?

ok I checked in bios and its says 36095 Mhz. But the darn Cpuz wont read right. And xmp is on as well.

This is crazy here are screen shots The bios says says 3609 I cant put my finger on what is wrong.
