Okay so I know im going to get a lot of hate or discouragement but I kinda need to do this. I want buy a GTX 1070, now I have the money but my parents say I need to get rid of my first GPU which is a R9 380. Now I know these are going out of stock really quick and I really don't have the time to sell my GPU. I bought my GPU at MicroCenter and I bought a two year extended warranty and the one salesmen who I bought my stuff from says that people destroy there GPU and bring it in and buy a new better GPU. It says any spills or anything is covered and I could get a gift card to use on an upgraded piece of gear of my choosing! My question is should I overclock till it dies (don't think it would work very well) or spill something on the GPU and if I would spill something how would I make it not like kill my motherboard and PSU. Can anyone confirm that this works and I know I shouldnt say this as this might be taken down and can I have any advise on destroying you GPU. I am aware of the consequences so please if you don't want me to do this
