micron=crucial?

newbie question....i was wondering if micron memory is the same as crucial memory? On most sites selling micron memory, they say that micron memory will not work with my mobo, but when i go to crucial, it says it will work. Now i can save a lot of money by buying micron memory from sites other than crucial. the question is will micron memory work? i have an asus a7v mobo. i saw another posting kinda about the same topic but i want to be sure. thx ahead of time.

yep. thats about right

micron make the chips, crucial puts micron chips on their PCB's.

there is no reason why micron memory shouldn't work.

cool, that gives me more confidence. have you heard of any conflicts with micron/crucial memory and this type of mobo?

hmmm. cant think of any from memory.

if noone else can answer i suggest you visit either of these forums for more specific help on the asus. and remember, search first chances are the question has been asked allready.

I used to have Micron/Crucial memory and Asus A7V. They worked fine together.

Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.

Generally speaking, Crucial has higher build standards than other companies who put Micron memory on their own PCB's. Crucial is a division of Micron.

Crucial and Micron is different. Crucail is memory stick produce by Micron. Micron also sell memory chip to other manufacturers and the manufacturers may call their memory stick Micron.
