Hi there,

Purchased a Micronics Astro GD 550W PSU, but the connector for the motherboard and CPU is too short.
Can only plug one of them. as you can see in this link: https://ibb.co/Rbjkd7x

Here the stickers info:

LITEON 210W https://ibb.co/KLhTZjG
ASTRO 550W https://ibb.co/7tJRKnN

Can I plug the LITEON 210W (original Lenovo purchase) on my CPU only and the new one 550W for the motherboard (all the rest)?
Because all other devices/components are powered from the motherboard like the CPU, but are separated from it.
No OC planned, wants Motherboard and Memory to run at 2400Mhz and add a WD Blue 3D NAND SATA SSD M.2 2280. Maybe change to a better Video card PCie 2.0 x16...

My PC is a Lenovo Thinkcentre M720s SFF, i3-8100 CPU, chipset B360 with:
  • 16GB (4x4GB) CORSAIR LPX Vengeance running at 2133Mhz (came with 2x4GB RAMAXEL)
  • WD Blue 500GB HDD SATA III
  • NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 on PCie 2.0 x16, dropped to x8 when I upgraded my Memory
  • Sound Blaster Audigy Fx 5.1

Tried to look up on other threads, everybody's about pluggin to Video card...

Thanks in advance

Solution
Seems you want to power the motherboard with a 6 pin pcie connector if i see correctly which it is not meant for. You just might kill those nice parts in there.
If you want to upgrade just upgrade case and motherboard as well.

If I only add the WD Blue 3D NAND SATA SSD M.2 2280 with actual 210W, will it take it?
I won't touch anything else... lol

Proprietary motherboard, PSU and tower.

What you need to do is pull the RAM, CPU, harddrives, cards, etc. and put it in a new, standard ATX motherboard and put that in a standard ATX case.
