Hello Tom's Hardware users, I'm having a problem with my microphone from my headset (A4Tech HSP-100u). Every time I use it on Skype, after 10-20 minutes it starts buzzing and I have no ideea why. I went back to my retailer and changed the headset with the same model but I'm having the same problem. I reinstalled my OS (Windows 7 Ultimate) and it's still the same, could you help me please? Thank you in advance.

Does it fade in or start immediately? If it fades in, it is Skype slowly increasing the volume during quiet moments. You can take it off automatic and manually set the volume in Skype options. If not, then check other recording programs like audacity for the same buzz after 10-20 mins. Could be audio drivers also. (Mine have "Smart Volume" which adjusts the volume to the "appropriate volume" depending on applications/games etc)

Buzz is generally caused by various forms of interference. Buzz is usually unnoticeable at regular volume levels or when other sounds are played over top, but during periods of silence buzz can be audible when the volume on a device is loud.

The buzzing starts immediately and is really loud and annoying(like a TV without signal). I didn't tried any programs like Audacity but I checked "Listen to this device" in the microphone properties so I can listen to it , after 10-20 minutes it was still buzzing. I will try with Audacity right now and come back with with an answer. Thank you.

It does the same with Audacity. I tried every USB port on the PC. I had an USB microphone before and it worked just fine and I also have some 2.1 speakers(using 3.5mm jack) that works great. I don't think my mobo has any issues.
