Hello, whenever I've gone to use my mic it doesn't work at all, which requires me to unplug it from the pink 3.5mm jack and plug it back in. From there the sound manager program comes up and I select Mic-in and then it works, until I turn mc PC off and have to do it again.

I'm using a Logitech G Pro X headset, but I detach the mic every night because I don't use it all the time. Also on Windows 11. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try the built in Windows audio troubleshooters. The troubleshooters may find and fix something.

When you select the mic are you sure to save the mic selection as the default device via some "Save", "Ok", "Yes", or some similar option? Sometimes the option is off screen and not noticed unless you scroll down.

Drivers: verify that the correct/current Logictech drivers are installed.

Either update the drivers if necessary or reinstall the drivers anyway in case the current drivers have been corrupted.

Be sure manually download the drivers directly from Logitech's website. No third party installers or tools.

Verify that the driver source is really Logitech. Just because "Logitech" appears in the path name that does not mean that the website is actually Logitech.

Lastly, if the above does not solve the problem then the next step is to discover if some other app is perhaps causing the mic change.

When you "go in" to fix the problem as you described what/how is the system configured before you change it to where the mic works again.

That could provide some clue as to what has been happening.
