So I recently purchased a Logitech Z313 2.1 sound system. When I plugged it in to my PC everything was fine and dandy. Worked great everything sounded great. Shortly after setting it up I tried to go into team speak with a few friends. My mic has become very staticy. On my end it is fine, When I listen to music or any audio it is clear with no static. It seems to only be on my microphone when I talk. ( also when I mute my mic, the static is still there)
I have looked and looked for fixes/solutions that make sense but I haven't been able to find anything.
My mobo with built in sound was purchased in march of 2011 so it is getting old.
Here are a few things I've tried:
-Cleaning microphone connections with Isopro/cloth
-used an air canister on the microphone port.
-Purchased a new surge protector with emi filtering / noise reduction. ( also has a LED saying its grounded)
- tried different head set/mic ( same staticy sound)
- tried the front mic/speaker 3.5mm jacks on my case.
-opened my pc and made sure all the connections were fully connected.
-lowered the volume level on my mic ( reduces the volume of the static but even at 75% I have to raise my voice to be heard)
-I've used multiple recording programs to listem for static ( Voice recorder/Teamspeak/skype)
