Question Microphone jack

I think my microphone jack on my pc is broken. My microphone is plugged in and it’s detected but all it makes is a buzzing sound and it doesn’t pick up my voice or my environment. I tried troubleshooting but no problems where detected with my microphone. I’ve literally tried everything help!!
