microphone not working in desktop

I recently bought a collar mic and when I connect my mic to the port the mic don't work in desktop but it work in my android phone. please solve my problem..

Make and model of your mic. It'd help us two fold if we learned of your audio output device. Is it a laptop or a desktop? Did you connect the audio input device to the pink front panel port on your chassis or the rear I/O port on your audio input port?

I got a lavalier mic,and I connected it to my desktop .I tried both front and rear pink panel but none working . I use realtek audio driver. thank you
