I just received my newly bought ducky shine 3, and it seems to be causing me trouble.
When it's plugged in, my microphone (razer megalodon usb mic) isn't working, but when I unplug the keyboard, the mic is working fine.
I don't see how the keyboard should be causing it, but through extensive testing it's the only available solution.

^as you can see, the microphone should be working. When I try to run the "set up microphone" option, I get an error which states that the recording device is either broken or disabled.

The symptom is indicative of USB drivers. Sorry I neglected to mention it. You'll need to try to get the latest USB port drivers from either the manufacturer of the machine (if it was a pre-assembled device) or the manufacturer of the motherboard (if it is something that was custom built). If that doesn't work I suggest using older USB drivers. Newer is better in most cases, but not if there are compatibility issues.

Best of luck.

So if I get the name of my MOBO I can just download the latest MOBO driver and install it?
Or is there anything more complicated I should be aware of before I accidentally wreck my computer?

Yes. The name and model of the motherboard will printed on the thing. It may be difficult to find. But once you've found it it will be obvious. Go to the manufacturer's drivers site and you'll find something like 'USB controller' or 'USB drivers' or something similar. Download the latest (the one with the most recent date) and see what happens. You may need to install the drivers for the individual devices again afterward.

Just tried that.
Seems that the most recent driver is a .ROM, which I need to run with the EZ Flash thingy, but when I load the file in EZ Flash, it gives me an error.
I read somewhere that it needs to be run from a bootable USB, is that true?

Sorry for the late update!

Just updated the BIOS to the latest version, and it still doesn't work. Tried uninstalling both the keyboard and headset/mic after the BIOS update. Also updated them, and still no solution.
Any ideas?

Hej Andreas :)

Did you ever manage to fix this? Now I have the exact same problem after connecting a Q-pad MK-50 keyboard. I've been using a Creative X-Mod USB soundcard since 2007 and it's always worked flawlessly. Now, my mic is not registering anything (like it's muted).
