[Microphone not working]

Microphone not working on Windows 10 Realtek High Definition Audio. I'm using Razor Kraken Pro Headphones. Speakers work just fine. Microphone was working before I did some updates. I've done roll back driver, update driver, level of microphone is at 100. noise suppression is checked on enhancements page. I can see the microphone on the recording page, it just won't show me talking. I've unplugged my microphone and plugged it back in. Restarted computer. I think my cable is good. My computer believes it's working properly. Not sure what to do next. Someone may have to look at it.

ok so found out my microphone works when i'm recording, but that's it.

turned off real time protection on windows defender and its working again. I just need to find a way of permanently disabling windows defender instead of it turning back on when I restart the computer.

ok so microphone back to not working again. went back to having a lot of white noise when recording and unaudible voice like a monster. Now the mic is completely muted when recording. Real time protection came back on for windows defender, I turned it off again, but it didn't help my microphone... windows 10 home issues...
