Microphone picking up headphone noise not voice.

Hi, so my microphone is picking up the noise that comes out of my headphones but not my voice itself. I system restored to two weeks ago when it worked, and that did nothing, then relented and updated to windows ten, and that did nothing. I've tried the ports on the other side, and that did nothing. I think I might've reinstalled the drivers, but I honestly don't know, so if someone could give me a hand it might help. I however do know that the thing isn't muted and is the default device. Thanks in advance! Apparently I have AMD and Realtek sound drivers. the headset is a PC 330 G4ME, from Sennheiser, I think.

1| Can you please pass on your full system's specs inclusive of the OS you're now working on(+the one you were working on)?
2| Since you've stated Windows 10, have you disabled automatic device driver updates and then proceeded to uninstall and reinstall your Realtek drivers? Have you also downloaded teh drivers found off Realtek's support site?
3| Have you tried reinstalling your OS? Since you've stated you migrated to Windows 10 as an upgrade path.

Right well I'm on windows ten, I was on windows seven professional, both 64-bit. I've got an amd 6100 3.3ghz six core processor, 8gigs of ram, an amd 7770 gpu. I just tried disabling device driver updates and then uninstalling and reinstalling through the realtek wizard. And i dont think reinstalling will do anything since its had the same problem when i was on windows seven. And having done all this, no progress has been made. Im wondering if its a problem with the headphones themselves tbh because they had the same problem on my laptop. I'd like to assume its not, since the laptop is crap, so im going to try on another one and see if theyre the thing thats buggered. but otherwise, if its not them, what else can i do bar spending an evening watching a progress bar as i ah heck around with my os?

Hey, we have some progress. So now instead of the sound from the headphones going through the mic, it just won't pick up what im saying, or anything. Which is a step in the right direction.
