Microphone problem !

Hello community recently i had installed windows 7 and purchased a new headset with microphone .. the problem is the fact that my friends can't hear me but i can hear them .. when i do a voice test with my microphone the mic. maked a strange noise something like a wash machine . The microphone is not broken because i tested it on another pc , and it worked fine. I tried all the stuff on the google about turning mic on and off and other ideas but it seems nothing it's woking , I will really appreciate your help.

Is it USB or 3.5mm plug headset? Combo plug or dual plugs? Did you try another headset with your system? Did you make sure you are using the right ports? Try both front and back plugs?
