Question microphone problem

okay so my microphone stopped working on my pc but worked perfect on my ps4.i tried multiple things installed audio drivers updated them everything i was told until my friend told me he thinks it is my aux port, if i buy a new mic will the problem still be there or will the mic work

Make and model of your mic, how it's paired to your system and the make and model of your sound card, if your mic is analog and you're using the ports on the sound card. Which OS version are you on if you're working with Windows 10? What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard?
