Microphone sounds terrible

I built a new pc and when I go on discord everyones saying my mic sounds so bad and robotic. How do I FIX THIS? i tested two headsets so thats not the issue. I also downloaded the driver for the headset. doesnt work.

It's usually a connection issue that creates that distortion on discord. Try some of these troubleshooting steps: https://support.discordapp.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001310031-Voice-Connection-Errors

Another thing I have seen cause that is a faulty physical connection. Try different ports. If your headset came with a usb extension or something similar, try plugging it directly into the usb port instead of using the extender.
