Microphone static noise (is there a fix or what is this?)

So my microphones makes this noise at complete random times and so far when i disable it and re-enable it works again for another random amount of time Happens only when i play full screen games such as arma 3 or when i stream will be posting microphone is a steelseires sibera [raw] prism its a usb headset my friend bought me also i have tried several usb ports no change. it just started happening in the last month and i haven't downloaded any new apps or games

I assume you're on a Windows machine? Have you tried a driver update? Since it's USB, your only other option is to right click on the volume icon on the lower right and go to recording devices. See what options you have and tweak from there. You might also consider going to playback devices...as sometimes there are options for your mic on your headset there that you can also tweak.

...or you could be simply making static noises with your mouth...but I would think you're friends would notice it in person and say something about it.
