Microphone won't work

My hyper X clouds used to work just fine for about a week or so, until I shut down my computer and booted it up. I can barely hear my friends or my shows or anything. My friends can hardly hear me but can hear my music or Netflix extremely loudly. Please help I've tried so much. I don't know if it's my drivers or what? ( it's a very new computer it is operating Windows 7, the mic worked on my older computer just fine also.

Have you right-clicked the speaker icon on your screen? Probably in the lower right corner if you or someone else has not moved the icon.

Right-click and go into "Recording Devices". Find the microphone(s) settings. Check your microphone's setup.

i tried this already. did not work

Check your drivers and reinstall. Maybe some update went astray.

Go to the manufacturer's website and compare your driver version to what is current.

Update if necessary.

Or if current, roll back a version if possible.
