MicroSD and USB Adapter

Hello, I’m sorry if this is a stupid question, but I will ask anyway! I am thinking of buying the Samsung Pro 64GB MicroSDXC card. My question is will the card run at the same speed if I connect it to a USB adapter, or would it take a performance hit compared to using it with a dedicated Micro SD slot? The reason I ask is I am planning to use the card to store music files and want to use it with my phone (via the MicroSD slot) and my mini hifi system (via the USB port). Thanks in advance.

The card will be slow down to the slowest component of the connection. In this case it will slow down to USB speeds.
