I recently bought a new mobile phone (Blu R1 HD) and put my old (unknown brand) 16GB MicroSD card in it. The phone let me know that the SD card was slow and I should consider replacing it. I transferred some apps to it, and sure enough it was so slow it was unusable.
So, I bought a Samsung 64GB EVO Plus Class 10 Micro SDXC to replace it with, which I received today. It requires a format so I initiated that, and I've gotten the same message about it being slow. The format has been stuck on 60% for the past 30-45 minutes.
I believe the issue lies with the phone and not the SD card.
My question is what to do now? Can I interrupt the format by turning off the phone or will that damage the SD card?
