I have a 16GB microSD card that I've been using for several months in my phone, because my phone has an internal storage of about 2GB, so it isn't really useful for storing anything. Recently my phone has stopped recognizing its existence, and when I tried putting it in my computer to be read it again wasn't recognized. I've tried other microSD's on both devices and they've both been showing up fine, so I know it must be something with this SD. However there is no visible physical damage, so can my SD card still somehow be saved or is it gone?

Solution
It's possible that the SD card has had the connectors bent or worn in a way that you may have to wiggle it to sit properly. It is also possible that it sustained water damage. Try inserting the sd card with a little piece of paper or some other wedge to help sustain contact.

If it is still unreadable, you may need to send it to a data recovery service or try risky third party software that claims to fix invisible SD cards.

Sorry for your loss, but small things like SD cards tend to be a work or not piece of hardware. If it dies, getting it back is usually not worth the hassle.
