I miss the old days where a File Explorer was just a dumb file explorer that didn't have a heap of background processes to worry about. Where copying or moving a folder started the actual operation immediately instead of sometimes taking minutes of "calculating" before starting.

They had a perfectly fine Windows 10 that everybody loves as the "final" version. But no, they had to back out and continue with their tradition of making an unpopular Windows with lots of unwanted changes right after every good one. Let's all just hope they at least stay true to the cycle and go on to make a decent Windows 12 afterwards...

WIndows File Explorer is becoming worse and worse with each update.

Remember with W7 or W8 how you were able to "save" from an application to a "recent folder" or "recent" item"? Sure, you can manually correct or pin a shortcut to your QuickAccess but that conveniently disappears when you try to access it from an application. And of course, the lag or delay when right clicking on a folder especially it's properties.

We all (if we can) downgrade to W10 and then upgrade to W12 next year (fall 2023).

Windows 11 should not be used in any production environment or commercial capacity. They says its released, but its still very much alpha code and will take a number of service packs to fix its issues. The problem is that there are many features in Windows 11 that aren't in Windows 10. And yes 11 is more secure, but its not reliable. At this point I would just recommend any company buy a mac mini M1. domain controllers are not used anymore anyway. can do everything work related in the browser now and its more secure.
