Microsoft composite battery in device manager cannot start code 10

Running Vista Home premium and in the device manager I found microsoft composite battery cannot start code 10. So I disabled it and then enabled it and now have : This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31). How do I get it to load the required drivers? I tried clicking on the "check for solutions" box and as always got no results.

Same problem with me... im running windows 7 home premium...
my battery icon is also not displayed on screen
can anyone help...
