Microsoft would make more money if it stayed as a software company making office available for Android and iOS instead of making hardware in order to push Windows 8 RT.

I think a Surface Pro with full Win 8 that is the same size as the current Surface RT, and includes Office 2013, would be a real winner. Hopefully the newer chips coming out will make it possible.

Ok, I'll bite. What DOES make a good OS for a tablet? And for the record, my Acer Iconia W700 Windows 8 tablet goes from complete shutdown to working Windows in 7 seconds.
