This looks great, although I did kind of wonder if it was really working or if that 3rd dude it showed in the background in the middle of the show was controlling everything from the computer it was showing next to him...
Maybe that guy's name was XBOX and those two guys were telling him what to pull up...

Zed: Well, I guess you're gonna have to go wake him up now, won't you?
 
I'm so torn between the two consoles. 🙁 There is few features on each that I like. Some disappointment in both. Might have to wait this out for bit after releases, so I don't suffer from buyers remorse. Last generation I knew which I wanted and purchased accordingly.
 
Xbox find me a date, Xbox HD Porn, Xbox show me free Live Gold, Xbox make games in 1080P, Xbox show me what i could have if i bought an awesome PS4, Xbox who's your Daddy?
 


Its funny because this was the exact same thing said about the PS3 when it was still in the making, that it would be better. Yet in the end, the games looked the same but the 360 out sold it by quite a bit.
 


Well that's a tricky situation. Back when the PS3 launched, people did claim that TEH CELL was stronger, however, with tricky architecture, developers truly didn't unlock its potential till later years, with games like the Uncharted series that the graphical expertise really shows.

However, with the PS4, both consoles are more like computers now. Even the hardware specs says that the ps4 puts out 1.84 teraflops and the Xbox one does 1.2, or whatever the number is. This piece of information is further supported in the fact that many games on the Xbox One are in 720p, while alot of the games on the ps4 will be in 1080p (or around it). That is just the result that comes from the fact the ps4 puts out more horsepower, and differences are clearer this time.
 
This is truly impressive. I don't console game, but I want one just for TV control. Right now, I'm using an AMD A4-5300 PC with Windows 7 for watching Hulu and Netflix, but with this, I could control it so much easier. This looks awesome. This interface is great. I don't know if the PS4 could compete with this in anything except games.

well you don't have to decide right away... try to decide what you will use the most.
 


that's what microsoft is going for, not only pure gamers, but entertainment too.
 
I want one and to all that complain about the price $500 is not a lot of money. The problem is your spending all your money as soon as you get it. Put some away and stop wasting it on small things and you wont have to wish you could afford one and go out and get one.
 
i would disagree about the comparison between the ps4 and xbox one bf3. the ps4 is much, much closer to what a pc displays. the xbox messed with the contrast way too hard. anything in shadows is straight up black, cant pick of any details in the dark. i dont like what ms did with bf4 at all

You should compare then with PC, PS4 is closer to it than XOne. And not PS4 has more details not XOne. X1 also has worse lightning and less garbage is some scenes.

Here's the thing, the whole PC/console/technology industry all the way back to the industrial revolution has been about removing manual labour to the point our fat lazy asses find it too much effort to use a remote control or a wireless keyboard. This new Xbox allows 2 things, activity if you want it for Kinect controlled games, but also for those that don't want activity to become even bigger, fatter and lazier. That is why it will sell an absolute bomb, especially in the USA.
 
So the XBOX one is supposed to be 720p upscaled to 1080p and the PS4 is real 1080p. I'd say that most people can't / won't notice the difference unless they're a geek like myself. Even so after a while i forget about it. Since the systems have specs that are similar i think Microsoft will have the edge. Reason, If you have less to render then you can do it faster and use the saved time for other game logic (more units on screen, better AI, etc...)
720p is 1280x720 = 921,600 pixels
1080p is 1920x1080 = 2,073,600 pixels
ps4 has more than twice as much to render per frame.
