Lately I don't even want to bother with this, but let's see what we can read about this and what can be done to remedy the errors I'm getting with this Edge Game Assist.exe

Firstly I never said I would have this installed on my Windows 11, but for some reason even if it's uninstalled this app just keeps coming back and causes an error again without even being executed by the user on this pc.

Secondly why does this app have an error on my gaming pc and not on my office pc?

Thirdly why do I as a gamer have to be concerned with this, which I am as of now asking about it...

If they wanted me to utilize it, why doesn't it just work right and maybe this app could be utilized, something to do with game bar.

Have you scanned for malware?

Also, have you run DISM and SFC to check your Windows health?

Seems, as suggested to the previous link, the reinstall behavior is expected. Searching the topic seems to confirm that behavior.

Is Edge your default browser?

Windows seems to be in good condition besides this issue, but I'll do the checks just to be sure anyways.

Only use EDGE browser yes.

Now what are those commands again:

Admin console, something like this:

sfc /scannow

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Is that right?

Just for grins, change your default browser to see if the behavior changes.
No thank you I'm not utilizing the internet that much that I'd require a browser change, anyway I do see the error even if I use my edge browser or not, and then the uninstalled Edgegameassist.exe just out of the blue reinstalls itself, anyway this seems to be that I can't have it uninstalled and remain that way, so this time I tried to hit the repair button for this app in the apps list, but I doubt that these functions of windows actually take affect.

Got to be something that can be done to remedy this, other than this issue my windows runs flawlessly.

Edit: Seems to be possible to disable the app, witch apparently has something to do with Gamebar and it's widgets that can be disabled or enabled by toggle switches once the gamebar app is open.

Anyway I don't see why it is forced things like this onto windows users, and it's even more invasive if people are made aware of these apps by letting the apps create windows errors to lure out attention to whichever app.

Don't corrupt windows or cause windows errors to hike apps utilization!

Or should we all start calling our OS, Microsoft Apps platform with widgets instead of Windows?

The change was meant to be temporary to see if it caused a change in behavior. Easy enough to change back after the experiment.

Let see on how to repair this?

Seems I can't do the repair, system won't let me.

See where I'm at with a fresh install of Windows 11, too bad for all the installations of games, oh well can't be bothered, I'll just start new instead, maybe with a bit of luck there won't be errors then.

The 0xC000027B exception is an application level stowed exception that is seen only with UWP applications. It's not a Windows system problem level problem, it's an application problem. The best thing I can suggest is to ensure that you have all the latest Windows updates installed and you have all the latest Edge updates installed.

The other possibility is that an Edge extension is interfering with Game Assist, so try starting Edge with extensions disabled and see whether the issue remains.

Ok thank you I'll look at that and take care of those as you say.

Hope it won't be an issue now, since I'm on a fresh install of OS now.
